The Simple NAS stops responding after 15 minutes of idle time if you have installed an older hard drive or certain newer hard drive models. You are then forced to reboot the Simple NAS.

 

 

The Simple NAS will automatically idle the hard drive after 15 minutes of inactivity. Some older hard drives are unable to receive the wake-up command. This feature is not yet user adjustable.

 

 

Please update your firmware to the latest version to resolve this issue.
