If you do not properly uninstall the drivers and software for the SEE2 when you are upgrading, the new driver installation may keep asking to uninstall the old drivers continuously.
|
|
 |
This behavior can be caused by not uninstalling the previous SEE2 drivers. This causes the uninstall key to become corrupt. You must uninstall your previous SEE2 drivers FIRST before upgrading.
|
|
 |
- Unplug the SEE2 from your USB port.
- Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.
- Find "USB 2.0 SVGA Adapter." Click "Uninstall." When prompted you must restart your computer.
If the "USB 2.0 SVGA Adapter" is not listed in Add/Remove Programs, you must manually uninstall the software.
- Open up My Computer and go to C:\Program Files. Look for the "USB SVGA" folder and delete it.
- Click on Start --> Run and type 'regedit'. Click OK.
WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems
that may require you to reinstall Windows. TRITTON cannot guarantee
that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be
solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. The registry is a
system-wide database used for storing Windows software and hardware
configuration settings.
- Delete the following keys in red ONLY:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE --> SOFTWARE --> Tritton
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE --> SOFTWARE --> MICROSOFT --> WINDOWS --> CURRENT VERSION --> UNINSTALL --> {04A1E855-4EBF-417D-87FF-2F085CA534A0}
- Close the registry editor and restart your computer.
You should now be able to re-install the SEE2 drivers normally.
