When you view or attempt to access the Simple NAS from a Windows 2000 computer, you may experience one of the following problems:

The NAS will lock up and you are foced to restart the NAS.

Windows 2000 may not be able to view the content listings on the NAS.

Windows 2000 may lock up when viewing the content listings.

 

 

Microsoft recently released an update that affected SMB, the protocol that is used for network sharing between the NAS and Windows.

 

 

This issue has been resolved by firmware version 3-0311. Please update your firmware to the latest release.
