- Download the firmware and unzip the two files to your desktop.
- Open the Wireless NAS User Interface in Internet Explorer only.
- Click on the "Advanced" tab. Here you will see the section entitled "Firmware Version."
- Click on the "Browse" button and browse to the "2.11.40-2005.02.04-16_absfs" file you unzipped to your desktop. Then, click on the "Upgrade" button.
This process will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. The User Interface should show a page with a "Settings Successful" message and a "Continue" button when the update is complete. Click on this button to continue.
In some instances, you may receive a "Page cannot be displayed" message. In this case, press the refresh button in your browser to refresh the page. If the red tool light is still on, wait until the light goes off before refreshing again.
- The page should be on the Advanced page still. Confirm the first firmware file has been successful. Look at the firmware version. It should now read: "fw1:2.11.40-2005.02.04-16". If not, try the upgrade again. If so, continue on.
- Click on the "Browse" button and browse to the "fw16M_2.11.40-2005.02.04-16.tgz" file you unzipped in Step One. Click on the "Upgrade" button.
This process should take about 5-10 minutes to complete. The User Interface should show a page with a "Settings Successful" message and a "Continue" button when the update is complete. Click on this button to continue.

- Confirm the second file upgraded successfully. The firmware version should now read: "fw1:2.11.40-2005.02.04-16 | fw2:2.11.40-2005.02.04-16." If so, your unit has been successfully upgraded. If not, please try the process again.
