Unable to hear voice communication using Xbox Live.

How do I adjust the Time Delay (TD+ TD-)

  • I cannot hear people on XBOX Live?
  • To hear other players during XBOX Live communication, you will need to make changes within the XBOX360 dashboard. From the XBOX360 dashboard, press the XBOX guide button (the X button is located in the center of your controller) to access your XBOX Live settings. Select "Personal Settings" and press the "A" button on your controller. Then select "Voice" from the menu and press "A". On the voice screen, select "Play Through both" for voice output selection. Next, when a game is loaded you must select audio options and turn down both the "FX Volume"and "Music Volume" to a desired level. (Note: Most games come with the FX Volume and Music Volume defaulted to maximum levels) The master volume located on the AX 360 audio controller can then be set to a desired level.
  • When playing Halo2, I have the dashboard configured as instructed, however I still cannot hear other players?
  • Go to settings, Profiles, and modify your profile. Under "Voice Output", select the output "Speakers Only". Since our headset plugs in to essentially where the receiver would normally plug in, this will send the signal to your headsets.
  • Will I need to buy an expensive reciever for my headset to work?
  • No. The AX-360 has its own control box with built in amplifier. Everything you need to enjoy Dolby Digital 5.1 suround sound is included with the AX-360.
  • How do I connect the AX 360 microphone to a XBOX 360?
  • For use with an XBOX 360, do not plug the microphone into the mini-jack on the headphone. Mount the microphone to the left ear cup of the headset. Connect the microphone to the extension cable(included with your AX 360). Plug the opposite end of the microphone extention cable into the mini-jack located on the game controller.
  • How do I reset the AX 360 audio controller back to factory default?
  • Push the volume (+-) buttons together and power down the unit. Now, while powering on the unit hold down the (+-) buttons on the audio decoder box. The indicator lights will flash 3 times simultaniously indicating the unit has been reset to factory default value.
  • I can only use digital inputs with this device, what about my devices that do not have a digital connection?
  • There is a included G9 adaptor that will allow you to hook up to a 5.1 PC sound card. If you wish to use stereo RCA cables for your sound, an external analog to digital audio converter would be needed.
  • What if I don't have a 5.1 sound card in my PC?
  • Most new computers come with this built right into the motherboard, if your computer however doesn't support 5.1 surround sound you can use the green plug on the G9 adaptor for stereo sound and the pink plug for microphone. The inputs on your computer most likely will be color coated the same colors, or will have little symbols for line out and mic.

  • Power light is on, but no other lights are illuminated, nor is sound outputting. Check to ensure that there is light being emitted from the end of the optical cable if you are using it, and that the rubber caps have been pulled off. Also check to make sure the toggle switch near the optical input on the blue box is selecting the input you are using. Toslink Example
  • Check your settings.. Make sure that the device that you are using, such as a PS2 or Xbox 360, is set to Dolby Digital output and make sure that the Dolby Digital LED is lit on the AX-360 external audio controler.
  • Check your packaging. If your game or movie does not support Dolby Digital audio, the external audio controler will convert the stereo sound to Dolby Pro Logic emulated 5.1 sound. Your game or movie package should have the Dolby Digital logo if it supports 5.1 digital audio.
  • Verify volume knobs. Check the inline volume settings attached to the headset. The front, rear, center, and sub all have different controls to allow you to adjust your audio the way you like it. Make sure that one setting isn't set to high or to low and adjust them untill it sounds good to you.
  • If unsure, play with it. With some expensive surround sound systems it can take hours to play with every little setting to get it to sound good to you. The AX-360 is alot more simple, just play with the controls untill you are satisfied with the way it sounds. If you mess up it is very easy to reset back to the original settings.
  • No microphone controls? Thats right! Why would you want another knob or wheel to mess with, you want to get into your game.
To adjust the way others hear you, just simply move the ultra flexable microphone attachment closer or further away from your mouth untill other Xbox Live users can hear you.
For PC users there is already a microphone volume control built in to the PC or Mac.
  • I hear beeps in the background during times of silence... When listening at high-levels, when there is a moment of silence, you may notice faint beeps, this is signal noise generated by your Xbox, computer, or receiver. This "Noise" is typical in systems with moving parts, such as hard drives, but can occur in receivers with no moving parts as well.
