RMA Policies & Procedures
Read our important information regarding our warranty repair procedures.
 

RMA Issuance

Product Registration is required to issue an RMA. Please register your product online if you have not done so.

A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is only issued by our Technical Support Department after we determine your product is defective. We do not issue refunds for our products; you must contact the place of purchase for refund information.

When given an RMA, please be sure to obtain the RMA number. You can not send a product to us without an RMA number. All products received without an RMA number will be returned to you unrepaired at your own expense.

The RMA number is valid for 30 days only, and authorizes ONLY the serial numbers identified herein. Any unauthorized serials may be returned to you unrepaired at your own expense.

Any package received without an RMA number from TRITTON Technical Support will result in the product a)being returned to the sender unrepaired and at the sender's cost, or b)the unit may become the property of TRITTON Technologies, Inc.

Shipping Instructions :

1. Remove all accessories and bare parts and return ONLY THE UNIT (unless otherwise specified by our Technical Support).

--TRITTON Technologies is not responsible for the return of accessories such as power adapters, cables, manuals, documentation, etc.

2. Package only the unit securely using foam, peanuts, bubble wrap, etc.

--Do NOT use plastic bags to package the unit.

--Do NOT send the unit in its original packaging box.

3. You must pay shipping charges for all shipments from you to TRITTON Technologies.

--Ship your unit(s) to TRITTON Technologies using the carrier of your choice. Please use a method with ability to trace the shipment. TRITTON Technologies is not responsible for shipments for which the carrier cannot provide proof of delivery.

--If your unit is under warranty, we will pay for shipment of repaired/replacement products from TRITTON to you. However, you must pay all applicable duties and customs charges for shipments to and from TRITTON.

--TRITTON is not responsible for loss or damage during shipment. We suggest that you provide freight insurance on your shipments.

--NO COLLECT SHIPMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED without prior authorization from TRITTON. Shipments arriving at TRITTON with charges due are subject to being returned (unrepaired) with all charges, including return expenses, due and payable by the originator.

Please Note:

  • We must receive your drive within 30 days of RMA issue, or your RMA will be canceled.
  • DO NOT send the drive with any type of adapter, cable or converter unless otherwise specified. TRITTON Technologies is only responsible for returning the unit itself.
  • Each TRITTON Technologies unit is manufactured from new parts, or new and used parts. In some cases, the unit may not be new and may have been previously installed. Regardless of the unit's production status, TRITTON Technologies' appropriate warranty terms apply.
  • Ship via certified mail or with a carrier that provides a tracking number.
  • Warranty is void if it is improperly packaged. Please ensure you use protective packaging material such as foam, peanuts or bubble wrap.
    • Do NOT use plastic bags to package the unit.
    • Do NOT ship the product in its original packaging material.
  • TRITTON Technologies is not responsible for any loss of data or time lost.

Turn-around Time : TRITTON Technologies will normally ship the repaired or exchanged unit(s) back to you within one (1) business day when we receive the unit prior to 2 PM PST. All units are returned via UPS Ground unless otherwise paid for by the customer. The customer may request to have the unit shipped 2-day or Overnight, but the customer will be required to pay all shipping charges from TRITTON to you. Upon shipment from TRITTON to you, an email will be sent containing information regarding the Shipment Detail, to include estimated delivery date and tracking number.

Cross-Shipments : Cross shipments are only authorized for the TRI-ASA1120 / ASA1200 / ASA2120 / ASA2200 models, unless otherwise authorized by TRITTON. Cross shipments require a valid credit card and billing address. The customer has fifteen (15) days upon receipt of a replacement unit(s) to return the defective unit(s) back to TRITTON. The Customer must follow the Shipping Instructions and MUST ship with a carrier that provides the ability to track the unit(s). TRITTON is not responsible for lost or damaged unit(s) from you to TRITTON. After fifteen (15) days, your credit card will be billed if the unit(s) meets any of these conditions:

a. The defective unit(s) has not been received.

b. The unit(s) is not under warranty.

c. The unit(s) is physically damaged by improper packaging.

d. The unit(s) is warranty void if any warranty stickers or labels have been removed or tampered with.

e. The unit(s) was physically damaged or misused by the customer.

f. The unit(s) warranty repair is not covered by our complete Warranty Statement.
