Error Message or warning of "USB Hub Power Exceeded"

Using multiple USB devices with the SEE2

Changing the resolution settings on the SEE2 does not keep after restarting Windows

How to check your current driver version

Upgrading to a newer driver version

Installing New Driver Keeps Asking to Uninstall Old Driver

  • Does the adapter support Direct3D?
  • This is a current limitation of the adapter. Please check for driver updates in the future to add support for this. If your application requires this, use the main display adapter instead.
  • Why does my mouse not move past the right side of the screen as it should on the extended desktop?
  • Check the display settings and make sure that your display number '2' is on the right side of display number '1.' You can rearrange how Windows treats each display in relation to each other in the Display Properties -> Settings dialog box.
  • There are lines running horizontally up and down my screen. What's wrong?
  • This is due to a low refresh rate setting on your monitor. You can change the refresh rate in the Display Properties. Make sure that you select the adapter before you change the refresh rate, and not to set it higher than what your monitor can support, or you may damage your monitor.
  • Why can I not make the adapter the primary display?
  • Some video cards chip their product with a utility that prevent other cards from being set as the primary display adapter. Check your video card documentation or software on how to disable this.
  • How come the display on the adapter seems choppy?
  • Ensure in Device Manager that the most recent USB "Enhanced Host Controller" drivers are loaded, and occasionally having outdated drivers for your primary Video card can also sometimes cause conflicts. For these drivers, visit the website of the Motherboard and / or Video card manufacturer.

If you are using applications that require a lot of memory or are graphic intense, the adapter will display it as being choppy. Try a lower resolution. The adapter does not support most graphic intense applications such as games or playing movies. You can also try a lower resolution setting.

  • Why does Windows ask to install the device driver again?
  • Windows treats each USB 2.0 port as a separate device. If you moved your adapter to a different USB port, it will install the driver AGAIN for that port.
  • Can I use more than one SEE2 adapter at a time?
  • No. You can only use one adapter at a time. However, we are working on this possibility to do so. Keep checking our web site for updates.
  • What resolutions are supported by the SEE2?
  • With driver version 1.31.2.2, the SEE2 now supports resolutions up to 1600x1200x16. With higher resolutions you may notice a slight decrease in performance, however it should not be significant.
  • Will the current SEE2 be able to support the Mac OS?
  • The current SEE2 will not be able to support the Mac OS. This will be a completely different hardware product due to a change in hardware to allow the compatibility with the Mac OS. The Mac SEE2 will also not be able to work with Microsoft Windows.

  • Make sure that the USB port you are using is USB 2.0. Try another port as well. You may need to visit the hardware manufacturer's web site of your USB ports and install the latest drivers.
  • Check to make sure the monitor is connected correctly and that it is powered on.
  • Do not connect through a USB hub. Connect directly to your computer to avoid over powering the USB hub.
  • Make sure that your computer restarted after the software installation.
  • Unplug the adapter, wait 30 seconds, and re-insert it WITHOUT the monitor attached, then re-attach the device.. Keep the monitor unattached to the adapter until the drivers for the adapter have successfully loaded.
  • Reset/refresh/re-sync your monitor. Most monitors have a reset button to re-sync the signal.
  • Wait for the boot sequence to complete entirely before connecting the device. Sometimes our drivers load late into the boot sequence, and if the device is connected too soon, the driver will not attach to the device correctly.
  • Try installing our latest drivers

  • Using the adapter after installation. (coming soon)
